  • please help!

So, I got home and parked my car on the driveway and realised i left my lights on, but when i went to turn them off the switch was already off and turns out just my right hand park and tail lights were still on..
anyone had this happen before? I disconnected them so i didnt drain the battery.
    any help much appreciated.

I dont think so i checked and it seems to be normal, though being the idiot i am when i disconnected them the wires touched a bulb and it sparked now the right hand park and tail light dont work at all and the right hand side repeater flashes really quickly so i assume i blew a fuse?

Do you mean the indicator stick? because that was in the middle when they were on and i flicked it to left and right and back to middle left hand works normal right hand flashes quickly and when i put it back in the middle its the same as it was

Alright. Pretty sure when you turn the car off then have the indicator on it leaves the parking lights on on that side, so was just an idea

sortofbigbj is correct the indicators leave the parking lights on on that sise. Did you check with the ignition OFF/ otherwise you're not really testing the theory!

Check on the fuse box panel, it tells you what fuse if for what. Most likely be the one for lights!

As has been said, if you leave an indicator on and turn the car off the parking lights on that side of the car stay on. It's a safety feature on many Euro cars.

As for the fast flashing, there is a good chance it's just the busted bulb, basically a dead bulb means fasat flashing to tell you there is a dead bulb

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Supercheap sell them, but only in packs of 5.

DO what I did and drop into D.i.cksmiths and pick up a 120 piece blade fuse pack for $17.

Yeah those lights are standard on euro cars. Definitely on VW/Audi and BMW, probably the same with other brands too. It is in case you park in a really narrow street at night.

turns out it was the indicator stalk
