so put the hottunings in. Did the back ones on friday night and was suprised at just how easy it was to do.. took no time at all. the front ones though took like all saturday cuase superman himself must have tightened the nuts on the strut top things, broke a handfull of assorted tools before rounding the hexagonal hole on the top of the shock. Ended up cutting/drilling them off... anywho enough ranting

        thanks.

        edit instead of double post:
anyway had to put it up like 3cm to drive it, and its still rubbing a bit, especially over bumps/tight corners. Will have to put it up even more until something is done to the gaurds.... Not quite sure what to do to the gaurds though becuase of the black plastic things

So today i winded the fronts up another 10mm, suprised just how much less bouncy it made the ride :O

Anyway when i had the wheels off noticed there was a fair amount of rubber on the coilover itself. After taking it for a bit of a spin the fronts did smell like burning rubber, so im guessing its still rubbing.

Would this be due to camber? I suppose i have to get a wheel alignment after having put these in so if it is camber that would fix it? Dont really want to run spacers, mainly as i have -ve cash at the moment -.-

If MK3 struts bolt in the way i think they do, it should be easy peasy to adjust the camber.

so jacked the front up again to take a look at the front camber, and as suspected had a crazy amount, maybe like -4 or something. anyway evened that up and tires are not longer rubbing on the coilovers

the stance im now sitting at

                put this in too

was expecting no difference, but can hear a slight difference (already cut the airbox up)

also turned some heads today when my sump decided to pick a fight with a speedbump

                  SWEEEET!!!

they shouldn't rub at all slammed on stockies... i had mine on its guts and only got stuck on a bump once...had to reverse...the rear beam got stuck!!!

I wish mine would give me that number sometimes
Is there something wrong or has your foot lost weight?

Nice stance too by the way, and never fear, you can always weld the holes up you make scraping the sump.
I'm going to the pub... I may be some time...

the trip back without the convoy avergaged something more like 10l/100km

but yea thanks, am starting to figure out the angles ect to keep the sump scraping to a minimum haha

Mmm those wheels would be sweet A service is the next priority when money comes though :/ getting the 18x9 working in the front would be fun haha

But yes am planning something for the wheels, not sure what yet. Thinking i'll paint the stock ones either grey/black not sure gloss/satin/matte, toying with a heap of different ideas.

When tyres get bald might consider a cheap set of rims to mix things up, but chances are ill keep running the stock ones until next year. Then hopefully if i manage to get a real job it might get a fancy pair of shoes
