2.5 inch with a backbox and two hot dogs, I'm putting another muffler in soon as I have a problem with my right ear. To much clubbing lol.

I also got a 100 cel race cat fitted for another 300 inc. oxygen sensor fitting which I think is more than reasonable considering how many VR6's have or currently suffer from overfueling!!!

Sounds like a good deal, But i think i might still go with the suitcase delete cos im a tight ass at the moment

I don't really want it to be too loud just a nice note when i get some revs under it and i also dont want to loose back pressure, so with that in mind would replacing the suitcase with a resonator be better than straight piping?

The issue is notsomuch the noise, moreso the fact that every VR6 suffers or has suffered from overfuelling, hence why 9/10 times the muffler and the cat are almost always blocked. I got a massive increase in performance when I got my system and by starting with an efficient "straight" pipe and adding mufflers from there you can really customise the sound, without having to compromise perfomance or sound quality, it'll just take a few visits to nail

Including the back box, put in two hot dogs and a smaller muffler to replace the suitcase. I pulled my suitcase out and it droned, so don't bother if you hate it that much...

Maybe replace the resonator with a larger hot dog and then go straight pipe to replace the suitcase?

it'll be louder than just removing the suitcase. And honestly, you'll spend more time and money farting around trying to get it right if you keep experimenting. I'd seriously just go to Unique mufflers, pay the guy 300 and he'll keep changing it until you're happy!!!
