  • what do people recommend?

well i hav a stock vr6 and was thinking of lowering it after having a fair few slabs of beer in the back. hehe.
i was thinking what people have and recommend (coilovers) for a 97 vr6.
i want it just on legal which is 100mm all round. cant wait to do it

if ur on a budget go for the hot tunings that robin (above) sells. they are cheap and they go low. and they arent too harsh unless you seriously dump it

ive got them and i havnt got any complaints. my girlfriend does though, she says its too bouncy but she doesnt make the decisions about the car haha

I've got Bilstein PSS9's in mine and the handling is amazing.
The ride is pretty firm though!
          They are also not cheap.

I'm still trying to get people together in VR6's with different suspensions to do a subjective test and see who likes what setups. In theory all coil overs must have stiffer springs (since if they don't you will simply bottom out more often). Again in theory by lowering further you allow for more travel which should maket he ride smoother (assuming you don't ground out).

For value you can't beat the Hot Tuning, not the best, not adjustable but they will do the job. I have a roughly equivalent set imported direct from Germany before I knew Hot Tuning existed.

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

Hottuning - best price - best product.

I got KW V2LE's. They're pretty damn good! Ride quality is amazing and it transformed the handling of the car.

Im on Hottuning, and Im very happy with them. the car is pretty low so its a little harsh & bouncy sometimes, but not unbearable. For the money I payed for them Im very happy.

ive had the weitec on my previous vr6. now i have the fk and the fk's do not compare. the weitecs were more stiffer and harder hitting on bumps but the fks are softer. im saving up to get weitecs again

havent had much experience with others.

these are the weitechs i had and will soon get for my new vr6, http://www.rapidparts.com/prod/GT1H5...ear-16-in/1476
