You COULD get a second hand tested coilpack but I'd advise against it because if it isn't new it's definitely going to fail sooner. A new one can be had for a fairly decent price if you know where to look (see this thread) so it's not too bad.
Leads could be the culprit in that case Tom23.Mrk Detailing, premium automotive detailing. Paint correction/protection specialist. PM me

it sounds very like what was happening in my car and it ended up being a combination of a cheap coilpack playing up and also the result of me pulling leads off the plugs without using a pulling tool. it caused to the leads to be arching across to the block
you should try matt from camden gti if you havent got the dough to put up for a new one. he supplied me with second hand tested one and it got me out of the mud. and works perfectly
