I did have a chuckle at this . The amount of people that want power windows is incredible . The Cabriolet is different cause it doesnt have the frame on the top . Maybe it might work , but good luck trying to adjust it to go up perfectly in the channels . That only leaves options from O/S . So you need to buy a window reg kit and wiring harness , then you need to fit it . Im guessing $1k+ and 2-3 days labour , all to just have electric windows . lol .

I still think forced induction will be the go . Im yet to see a 2 door mk3 in Aus with FI !

Seb it's like power steering - people think it's essential when truly you get better feedback without it. It is a huge effort to go power windows and clearly not worth the effort but I could easily see the lucky new owner of this car forking out for them....such is life.

Matt I'll pick some up at Briges in a month

Yup. It does already because we used the entire loom from the VR6.

Hooked in this arvo and got it all together (nearly)

Need a power steering hose and then we are set.

Took it on a testdrive round the block today.
YES you need power steer in a VR6
OMG its quick, dunno if its because the 3 door is that much lighter, or because its such a fresh motor 123,000ks, but it hammers.
                        Squealed the wheels in 3rd!

Few little bits left to finish off and some pics in daylight tomorrow

                            $1500 for the smashed VR6
$3000 for the 2 Door CL
Heaps of Labour and Time. Probably 100 Hours at least, we had to strip two cars and reassemble one.
Extra Parts include, retrimming headling and buying Seats.
I have a fully equipped workshop at my disposal and trained staff to help.
If I was paying for labour or doing it at home, it would be costly in money, time or both.

I reckon I`d sell it for $8500 if I was in the mood to do so.
