if it was a fuel pump issue normally the car wouldnt drive properly. If you can rev her right out with full power then she must be getting plenty fuel?

have you scanned for codes yet?
checked the spark plugs? see if theyre fouled?
As loon says it may be a sensor on the blink

Exactly!!!!!! If all checks right then a low holding pressure will cause you to crank more

Yeah they're pretty common failure items...along with the rest of the plastic in the VR6 lol.

They're a bit expensive to replace unfortunately, even though they are a 2 minute swap I haven't seen a price lower than AU$300ish and then you have to get it shipped here.

Yes that is all correct and expensive parts- I am agree with you, but i would like first change maf sensor to see if is anything diferrent, and after than i will buy.
Does anyone have spare one in Brisbane or Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast. I will come and just try to swap and see how is going.
Any help about spare MAF sensor ... thanks

Today I change my fuel pressure regulator. All same - nothing change. I am sure 99% is MAF sensor. But always is 1% for another parts...

If you know of any VR6 owners up near you just PM them asking if you can borrow the MAF for half a day or so I'm sure someone is willing to lend a hand.

Problem when starting after a few hours of driving

                              Heya fellas,
I have a similar problem, only happens after driving for a while, when I start the car idles for 2 - 3 seconds then it completley dies. does that 3 or 4 times, if you give it a good rev it sometimes it stays on the first or second time, very strange...

-Checked battery connections and battery they were ok

                              Any ideas??

                              Cheers...
