    OK a few of those were by choice, but still getting it just right can easily cost what you spent on the car when it has busted bits.
    hahahaahaha you would really really cry

        The GTI is better probably, due to the fact that 1.8 has so many performance mod options.

        Only reason to get the VR6 is because it's a V6 in a small car, and sounds awesome.

          That's it in a nutshell really...take the easiest option: the chip.

          Chip for VR6 - not much power, sets you back ~1k, end of story.
          Chip for GTI - lots of power, still around the same price but then comes easability of tuning other parts around the turbo.

          Turbo=win.

            can understand...since i 'played' with an N/A car (honda) previously.

            But taking this into consideration:

            1) Mk4 GTi ~ 13k
            2) Mk3 VR6 ~ 7k

            i got an extaa 6k to mod the car....hmmm...quite a tough decision huh?

              The mk4 gti weighs more. The VR6 sounds like a slice of heaven. Turbo lag sucks. VR6 torque FTW. Its a tough decision

                      Don't let that stop you mate My GTI came from Adelaide & I live in Perth.

                      Would have thought a nice drive down the coast would be good way to get to know the car!
