Are we deadset sure that is the problem then? Obviously it can't hurt to change them, but I believe they are installed correctly...

like 0.5-1.5cm off I reckon. My stuffed ones were 2cm off and made the car lower () but as soon as I put the new ones in it felt great, and they were just off of the body. The hats are there to top out on, when going over holes where your suspension stretches all the way out.

Call me an idiot but what happened to the good old, suspension tops bolt straight into the towers with three to four bolts each???

Seems like it would have been a better design to me

Yeah im of this opinion too. It looks VERY unsafe. The body can move around.
My mates have pulsars (SR20s are good engines ) and they have replaced springs/shocks and it has been quite easy, ands they have bolted the mount to the body. Makes sense doesn't it?

Perhaps, but thats a lot of "free range" to bounce around in

I thought those hat thingos were supposed to sit a little above the strut tower, similar to that... not like flush on the strut tower.

Yeah, once on the ground they will sit like that, but the LHS one just looks stuffed with that large of a gap.

Can anyone with any other brand of coilover (or JOM) post how their front struts sit for comparison?

                              TIA
