hehe yes a bit OT but still interesting. are u sure urs is 3 bolt, every k14 ive read about has a trapezoidal flange. im already boosting at 12-13psi and will pump it up to 15psi eventually but im just not a fan of the k03. although it does boost really easily and really early, i do mainly freeway driving so a little lag doesnt mean much to me. annddd the k03 is pretty much silent which i hate lol.

id be interested what options u think i hate

i was lucky to get a k14 on my engine, but it has a 3 bolt exhaust housing on it for the 1.9 manifold... most of the k14's came on the overseas "ecodiesel" which was a 1.6 with hydraulic lifters and the k14 with trapezoidal flange.... lucky ofr me, i have a 1.6 eco engine in the garage, and so i can go straight to the T3 with the manifold from it. the 1.9spec k14 has a larger compressor side than the eco-k14 too.

i believe 16Vkid had a trapezoidal flange turbo manifold for sale...

        Another Tdi owner

Well I'll own up to being a Tdi owner, and I love it. I got it from an auction in Sydney, bought it blind, but had a mechanic in Sydney look over it (mind you I did not know the mechanic at all). Then got it trucked up here. Its a wierd dark metallic blue with some fading on the bonnet, and I think it must have had some front end damage judging by a few things such as the paint colour and front light alignment. Otherwise it is standard. I have had it about 2 years, and only had a new starter motor (wow that was expensive) and I had to get a new glovebox catch too. I would love to get some aerodynamic roof bars for the surf-boards. It goes like stink and I love the pick-up. Parts are easy for me being an ex-pommie, and I run it on my own fuel so I am laughing all the way past the bowser and further! I ust wish the handling was up to the Peugeot 306 diesel I had - plus the interior was way way better.

I have a mechanical problem at the moment, check out in the diesel section

Just wondering how you got on with the cruise. I would like to fit one myself. I wonder if the cruise controls are the same for the gassers and the Tdi's, if so if we can get the part number we may be able to get one from a wrecker.

Your probably wright in that the 95 Tdi's are rare, come to think of it my dads is the only one iv'e seen. The model changover (MY95 to MY96) took place in OCT 95. That is anything built in OCT 95 and after is a 96. Anything built prior to OCT 95 is a 95 or earlier.

Great cars though, mine has ABS wich is a bit rare, I would like a cruise if I could get the kit as in the one we are talking about here.
