Coolant temp gauge

temp gauge gets to 90deg very quickly doesn't go over 90 but it doesn't matter wether air con is off or on. it take less than 5 minutes

Its supposed to, thats it's normal operating temp

I changed the temp sender in mine as my guage seems to get above 90 very easily, mechanic assures it won't overhaet but is a but disconcerting sometimes. VR fans have 3 stages, is this correct? I'm sure I'm only hearing 2, could be the fan controller I guess?

my car is a gl but it apparentley has a 3 stage fan as it has aircon according to workshop manual cars with air con do

that is correct. late models with aircon have 3 stage. mine is a 97 CL and it has 3 stage.
