As far as I know, the lights won't mount in the same brackets...so there goes that WHOLE front end bracket. I'd assume the bumpers would be different too, however the rear bumper MAY be easier than the front.
No easy feat is my assumption

If you can find a wreck then awesome if not your looking at new lights, bonnet, front quarter panels, grille, and rad support, other than that your sweet.
Its alot of money and I mean alot there ain't that many wrecks out there for what you are looking for.
Other than that its pretty much a straight swap :p

i had a 3.5 cabrio at my work the other day. i felt like reversing it into something and writing it off just so i could get the front end. those 3.5 conversions are so appealing.
they dont make a vr6 mk4 and dont say r32 or they do but its in usa,
and if you wanna make silly coments why put a 20vt in a mk1 why not buy a mk4 or why put a vr6 in a mk2 might aswell buy a mk3
Why spend a stupid amount of money on a mk4 GTI to rip it apart and start again?
Don't be a douchebag, it's just the different types of things people like to do. The civil answer to Jared's question is that they don't make a readily available Aus mk4 VR6'd car. No need to squabble on about irrelevant crap.
Oh, and about the silly comments thing: That's Jared's opinion, and I agree with it. The lines of the trims don't flow to start, I just think it looks tacky and wrong.

yeh, it's all personal opinions and mine is that i agree with these chaps; The lines dont flow because your putting round bumpers on a square car, none the less you will be respected if you do it . . .
