i recently painted my front calipers blue and after inspecting the disks they were severely worn can anyone recommend a disk and pad kit of some sort also im sick of brake dust
dust free pads would be a plus
green stuff aye il prob give em a go
i think im after an aftermarket ventilated or slotted rotor
im hoping i wont have to order them over the internet
does anyone know of any dealers in melb that i can order over the counter
any help would be appreciated
DBA is a royal rip off, fair enough it's aussie made but RBA (chinese made) make a good slotted rotor for a damn cheap price. They also make slotted set for the rears. A mate who runs "better brakes" has not had a single call back regarding any of the RBA products, he swears by them.
I'd recommend them highly, along with the EBC greenstuff pads up front and a pair of bendix in the rear, they are still very grabby and create very little dust.
Also, if you want anything priced well, stay well clear of autobarn. They quoted me $360 per slotted rotor {DBA} for the VR6. My RBA's cost me $235 for the front pair alone

I did have issues with EBC GreenStuff pads! i dont think they like stock rotors much and in my case caused frequent warping. brake dust is a pain, i do agree. but at least you know your pads are working with the rotors
wouldn't it also slightly reduce rotating/unsprung mass?
i bought some cross drilled rotors and mintex pads from overseas but in hindsight i'd probably pay the extra few quid to have them straight away from local suppliers/distributors. however, the is a muuuuuch larger variety outside of australia.
