Hello everyone. Seems there is an issue with Telstra (possible others) blocking email from our server. If you are trying to sign up I would suggest a different email if possible. If you're trying to reset your password and it fails please use the Contact Us page:
Spent yesterday and today with Dad cleaning the inlet manifold and throttle body... Heaps more wheel spin Due to the breather off the rocker cover going into the inlet piping its full of oil and grit. Now i have a decent gearbox and more power
Remember no powerful cars nfor me due to P plate restriction
I think you'll just have to learn to settle and be happy with the lack of power! I think I finally have, and I really don't mind the 8V anymore.
Maybe replace air filter with a K&N piece, and cut up your airbox? I've done that to mine (the only engine "performance upgrade") and it gives the illusion I'm going faster than I really am cos of the air induction sound lol.
No turbo, no S/C, no V8, some "high performance 6cylinders" are also a no no.
Although i questiono this as I have seen green P-platers (the law has been in force for 3 years now, coming up on 4 (July)) with WRX STI, SS utes etc...so I really don't get it.
That, something which should be clear cut is not "clear cut", so I would find it hard to describe "Engine performance modifications" to you.
I think the safest, most responsible way to do it would be to check with engineers/your local (As it varies with state) authorities prior to doing anything.
On a p-plate wage though, most ould find it difficult to go past exhaust, intake and possibly stretch to a chip (As far as us watercoolers i suspect), as we like balance in our cars right...
