I have owned my VR6 now for about 1 month, and I think I need to make a decision as to where I am headed with this car
I recently cracked something behind the steering wheel, which caused the airbag light to come on. My mechanic estimates that the cost of repair to this part is $400.
Anyways ... I have 225k kms on this car, bodywork is like a golf ball due to hail damage, there seems to be some kind of whining/noise which could be water pump(?).
Is the VR6 a car worth keeping for long? If I am going down this path, then an engine change(what should I also get done during this process?), suspension upgrade, bodywork repair should be in the pipeline.
The alternative is to sell it in 1-2 years, and look out for a Mk4 GTi.
