Anyone happen to have the figures quoted by the dealer on fuel consumption for the VR6 5sp manual?

This particular app has information for lots of cars going back to 1998, I chose a '98 GTI VR6 which comes us with these figures which look pretty reasonable to me:
12.0L/100km City
9.0 L/100km Highway
Redbook on the otherhand is pretty laughable:
Fuel Urban (l/100km) 9.5
Fuel Extra Urban (l/100km) 6.2
Fuel Combined (l/100km) 7.4
It actually looks like it has the same figures for the GL
If anyone is interested the app is called AccuFuel. I just went through and put in all my back information and it was pretty straight forward, it supports export to email and editing your settings on the go, at all of $1.19 it looks pretty good.
YES I could have used one of the free apps, but I found them clunky, and YES I could have used something like google docs and it's basic spreadsheet, but then I have to connect to the net to update my figures, this is a nice easy to use app ...(so far)

Either that or my version of "hard time" and yours differ greatly

Still 14.5 is impressiveLast edited by The_Hawk; 29-10-2008, 09:27 PM.

14.5l/100km! not even my mk 1 is that bad!
Actually, the mk 1 is very badly tuned (my bad!) so I do around 12's full city cycle, inc, flogging it and regular full throttle applications!
Doesn't get much better on the highway for some reason..

Also consider my 2.slow it seems cannot get worse than 10.5 or 11, and I warm that car up every time before I drive it as well.80,000km 1997 MK3 VR6 manual for sale - www.vwwatercooled.org.au/forums/f23/80-000km-1997-manual-vr6-nsw-sydney-67658.html
