if i had the money I would of gotten it ported but oh well...
? all you need is a dremel and a little over-self-confidence.

how about a cam whilst all the manifolds are off?

hmmm....i think id rather leave that to the professionals. Stuff like that, I would rather they do it. They have the experience and knowledge.

Was thinking about cams (theres 2 lol) but i have a powerchip in the car and after looking at powerchips FAQ on the site, they dont reccomend running cams. Not sure whether to believe that or not. anyways, same story as before...no money lol. had to replace timing chains, valves, guides, etc..etc...

later down the track when funds build back up

Chips and other types of ECU tuning are mapped out for a specific setup, so changing things around (even intake and exhaust) will require a retune.

Haha, I think I'm right on this?

schrick is a variable geometry intake. It has a solenoid that connects to a vacuum operated flap that opens and closes inside the plenum chamber at an RPM of your choice. This allows it to be better tuned for low RPM whilst maintaining the high RPM grunt. Wakes up the engine below 3500rpm somewhat. It also has intake runners that are equal tuned length to make up for the weird vr6 head design.

its how the vr6 should have come from the factory. But im sure the VW accountants wouldnt have had a bar of it. Strangely the mk4 and mk5s with vr6 engines have a variable intake manifold from the factory. Its made of plastic though.
