Damn right, sooner the better. Only thing is i need a few suspension/shock upgrades at the same time.
Which leads me to a question i was gonna save but now seems appropriate.
So, my last service found that i have two very perished front strut mounts. But i decided to wait to fix the issue as i wanted to upgrade to TMTuning Coilovers and wanted to save the labour costs of pulling everything out twice.
Now, when i do get the coilovers, i'll replace the front mounts, but what else should i change/upgrade? Seeing as the suspension will be taken off, which parts are worth replacing and which should i not worry about.
Cheers
Jon

ummm if you're replacing your shocks/springs with coilovers and are gonna replace the top mounts.... what else is there to replace??? thats teh whole thing! do it yourself its a peice of cake you'll save on labour.
serisouly guys this is my first major mod to the car and easily the best bang for your buck.
it improves the looks, performance, braking, and handling is just other worldly from standard.
when i first bought the vr i thought handling was "ok" and with such a heavy nose it made the steering response a little lazy. with this upgrade the car feels like its a coupla hundred kilos lighter and i always take the longer route home with the extra twisties.
That's sweet. I'll take them for sure. Just wanna check they will fit my '96 Golf MK3 GL? Hope so.
In regards to other suspension upgrades, i was thinking Bump stops and bushings on front arms etc. Not sure what other components would be worth changing. 12yr old rubber parts probably need swapping.
They should fit, if they dont ill take em back no probs. The coils should come with bumpstops so u wont need new ones. As for the other stuff, totally up to u
