Is mk3 vr6 suspension to stiff in mk2.

I am planning to fit a set of vr6 shocks with mk2 eibach lowering springs, is it going to be too stiff? Anyone tried it before?

I have cheap coilovers and they are mega stiff with the 195/50/15's that I'm running. Every bump in the road shakes the car. With 185/60/14 they are fantastic.

Vr struts would be suited to the heavy engine, not sure how well that would match to the mk2

If you've got a VR6 to pinch parts off then grab the rear sway bar for your MK2 as well.

VR6 shocks will be stiff but should be OK if you like a hard ride.

I'm running 16s. So I guess it will be a harder ride then.

Does the upgrade require just the rear bar or the complete axle? If its the compete axle, is it gonna drive weird with wider track at the rears?

I also read we could shorten the front anti roll bar from vr6 and use it on mk2 standard track width. Has anyone done that before?

Maybe I should go wide track for fronts if I can get the subframe...

Depends mainly on the engine (to the OP). I am running mk3 VR cup kit springs in the front of the MK1 cabby, because the 1.9TD is a heavy lump. I am also running bilstein yellows in the front (the proper bilsteins) which gives it just enough damping.

You really want to match the spring/shock combo to the axle load.

Sorry if this sound stupid, but I can't seem to find photos of the stock rear sway bar on the vr6, only aftermarket ones.
