  • Mk2 8V ECU Upgrade?

    I've had a couple of people tell me that they think that theres an ECU chip or something for the 8V...

    just wondering if anyone on here has actually done it and if it'd be worth it.. im not particularly stressed about the engine blowing up cause i have a 20V waiting in line.. so i though maybe for the time being..

    let us know yo,

    mitch

        is the cat still there??
        cut it out!!!!! you dont need it.

        go straight from downpipe to 2 rear silencers.
        from what i hear 1 muffler is too droney, 2 is good.

            Spend some time looking at Mk2 forums, ClubGTI etc.

            2" nice stainless exhuast will be good.

                    It's in the link mate

                    £300 ~ $450 au...
                    That's a good amount of cash but seems pretty cheap for a s/s system, could only imagine what it would cost to do locally...

                          Mk3 down pipes $100, 2.25 exhaust no cat $690, muffler $150. Sounds wicked...

                              been looking up a few options for exhausts... and came accross this one on GAP.
                              "Techtonics cat-back exhaust system, Stainless. System includes 2.25 inch mandrel bent stainless steel tubing, stainless 12 inch straight-through resonator, and stainless Borla muffler."

                              opinions???
