But at the end of the day it's your car. Do what you want.
    thanks for the input
i sort of agree with you carl, though i would have more chance finding a swimming gorilla than a pair of 16" or 15" ronal R8's
the paint is ok, so i'll leave them for a while then decide

I dont understand with such a OEm car you would then put BMW wheels on it??

      Such a clean factory car i would have just refurbed the originals or gone for something similar like this;

Am I not right guy ??? this isn't BMW wheel, it is BBS RA. Which is perfect look for 16V Mk2.
The BMW basketweave is BBS RZ

          BBS RA

          BBS RZ, aka BMW basketweave

Just to clear things up... they're not BMW wheels, there MIM (speedline). Yes these we're off an e30, that's why I took the centre caps out.
Yes I still have the RA's, and ill keep them untill another set of BBS' comes my way.
I'm sort of leaning towards the sporty boy racer look, hence the wide multispoke wheels.

Somewhere down the track id love to get 15/16x7 et25 RM's, but need to save and find the right set
I'll see what I find in the UK next week!!!

finally back from the UK. had an awesome time and saw so many mk2's!!! saw more in 2 days than i ever have in AUS

picked up a few goodies, but you'll have to wait until they come

but pick up another MFA wiper stalk, because mine had snapped and the washers weren't working.
now after rewiring this one and plugging it in, magically the washers works!! ended up being a wiring fault and a dodgy pump

                  and finally passed 110,000miles today

not really, but a cheap 2Y Gbox is always handy

yeah kept the old ones just in-case i need them at a later date

Great car, very rare to score a helios blue 16v especially in aus very likely it would be the only one here. Hell of a first car!

So the cars first BIG drive was to GAD in canberra over the weekend. And she loved it!!! Never missed a beat, which is always good news
Doing 110km/h the car sits at 3,400rpm!!!! Yet still managed to get about 7L/100km..
                          What does everyone else get??

Also may have picked up some RS001's too

Is that with the close ratio box?
Mines pretty similar rev wise at 110, similar fuel usage too.

I can rag mine on a highway for hours on end and get under 10L/100km, but as soon as I come back into town back up around 12L/100.
                            Strange little cars.
