Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

so i got all parts but these

    Pushrod, clutch release.
    Bushing, clutch pushrod.
    Seal, clutch pushrod.

do i need to replace these aswell when doing a new clutch?

The pushrod itself is probably alright, pull it out and check it. Has to be worth getting the seal though, not sure if the bushing is a common failure, not heard that it is.

Be bad to find the seal is shot and not have one to hand. Job stopper.

Wait and get the seals as said above. Good advice from above. I bought a car when back in the uk that had 'no clutch', the pushrod had worn thru the tin center disk so replace that to! You should get one in the kit! Good luck!
