I've got a Momo Monte Carlo in mine, $190 off ebay, then $110 for the hub adapter, very easy swap.

Highly recommended, especially since it's brand new, so no crap/worn leather!

No that's not my mk2. You can get a monte carlo wheel with a momo hub adapter, that's what I did.

What IS MOMO 8014 hub fitment spec ?

Ok, according to this fitment guide VW Hubs - Hubs - Steering wheels - Products

8014 should fit late model Mk2 which is big spline, so you shouldn't have problem.

Are you sure you've got the right one ??

Maybe that adapter is not for a Golf, thus why it won't fit.

Pull it off I say! Or take it to a shop and get it done.

I think the problem Is that the adapter teeth look buggered up. Should I take a photo of this for your judgement?

The hub looks like it is the right size for the adapter.
