Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Nothing in the strainer, but the oil was a bit sludgey. Just had 10w40 in there for a bit, and changed it for 30w40 (High Mileage engine Oil). Seems to be better, though the buzzer came on briefly at 2k RPM, but is now temperamental. The oil pressure gauge at the top of the head is reading 2-3.5 bar at idle. I have a new oil pump to go in, but I'm going to wait and see what happens with this new oil.
Oil was browny green (Colour Blind) But it wasn't red! That's after about 300kms!!!
My Oil pressure light and buzzer keep coming on, I've disconnected the wire and earthed it. I have a new sender coming in, So I'll wait and see what happens.Last edited by ozgti; 01-04-2011, 08:23 AM.
