Big boys toys are great, i've got a lot of parts through them. Little tip though, join the edition 38 forum Edition 38 and you get a 10% members discount
Also have a look at veedubmachine, Volkswagen Audi Seat Skoda Porsche spares and accessories good prices & you can get shipping quotes before you commit to buy.

Can't we buy them in Australia?
I've never tried to source them, but may need to eventually

I was hoping to go into any VW specialist and ask to order them in.
At worst I hope the dealerships can get them

Mk2 window scrapers discussion has been done to death here. No longer available from vw, it's eBay uk/de or any car that gets wrecked local. All the Aussie ones are r/s, our climate kills them

The only potential new path is via china, yet to have any luck

              Cheers

Matt at Camden GTI or a very lucky barn find. A slim chance might be Brian at gti imports in NSW

As you know they never sold them here....

Import a set from Europe ? maybe a set of new pattern doors is a better option, shipped through a freight forwarder?

How bad are they ? They didn't look that bad, can you get them panel beaten out?

Just saw your post in the inspiration thread. You're going small bumpers? What else have you got planned?

Yea man, put the small bumpers on with the matching small arches you've got. It looks daggy otherwise. Too much overhang at the front of the arch there. Either that or pop the big bumper arches on to match those big bumpers.
A bit of tlc and it'll will be a nice car. PM me if you need some help etc mate.

small bumpers/chrome trim, no arch trims, got new front and rear quarters coming, engines gonna be rebuilt and probably run a small turbo like a gt25 or 28, moderate engine bay shave/wire tuck, tidy up interior, just new carpets etc, probably lose the rear seats for a conservative sound install (its what i do for a crust) gonna order some air struts soon aswell and peice together a management system locally, oh yeh and a respray, either sepang bronze or kia titanium grey.... im lucky i got alotta mates who are fabricators, painters and the industry i work in i can get pretty much everything trade price so what iv listed might sound a bit far fetched but for me it should be a relatively (i use that word loosely) cheap excersize

Air eh! Good man, many will scoff, but F 'em it'll look cool I think a build thread is in order...

                            Sepang bronze is an awesome colour for old school cars;

What sort of wheels are you thinking?

that car pretty much started my love affair with sepang bronze haha, i want to make this car look like its straight outta europe, my accord euro is static and i wanna have a play with air as its coming relatively cheap to get in to, as for wheels, no idea, i got some 16" bbs rs which will come up nice after a re build, got a set of 13" centerlines to for lulz, im very picky with my wheels so its gonna be the hardest part i think... it was 2 years before i bought the work miesters for my euro so it'll probably take just as long again haha :/

Sounds good. I'm super picky with wheels too, took my ages to get mine sorted. 16"s might be a bit too big for a small bumper MK2 but would look awesome with air because of the amount of tuck you'll be able to get.

Looking forward to seeing progress on this (no pressure)
