Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

yer looks to be 8v pattern(holes top and bottom of the bore), and mating to a dual downpipe

Sort of looks right. Can you do a picture of the other side as well. Not like any manifold I have seen before though.....

Yep its a mk4 2.0L 8v manifold, i know of some guys in germany using it on their mk2's, dont know how much customizing it would take to make it fit though...

I wonder if the holes for the studs on head are correct. Pretty sure they should be staggered on one side. If you have some exhaust gaskets you can tell from them.

All VW 8v are interchangeable.. should have no problem fitting this if your using a custom downpipe and backwards setup

I reckon they will fit Mk2 and yes they may be from a 1.6 or 2L Golf 4 engine.

All the exhaust ports are the same on counterflow or crossflow vw 8vs. 16vs, 20vs and Vr6s are different.
