Lube the shafts with Marine Grease while you're at it. It makes it soooo much easier.
It's worth raising up, or not driving the car at all. (for the weekend)
I know, **** the ride-height rules. 100mm is ****ing boring officer.
Nothing we can do about it.

you drive a volkswagen, as long as you're behaving, shouldn't have any issues!

True man, both mk2 and mk1 never got done. Mk2 i got pulled over a few times and they never said anything, mk1 i had cops right behind me a few times with no issues.Originally posted by Jarred View Postyou drive a volkswagen, as long as you're behaving, shouldn't have any issues!MK1 GLS 3door

I drove through a breath testing station, my Mercedes with 3 pissed mates in it all smelling like garlic kebabs, and got waved right through.
Gave me some weird feeling of being respected and trusted. Was cool.
That said, I wouldn't drive a slammed anything on this particular weekend. I saw five too many cop cars on a 10 minute drive to my mates place tonight.

My MK2 is real low. Too low for the country roads I drive on but I've never been pulled up. Probably because I look too old to be a hoon.
There's some advantages to being an old fart.

Have you ever been pulled for being too low? As long as you're not throwing sparks or driving like a tw*t you should be ok. Mine is well below the 100mm limit and i've never had any issues (mainly because all the cops up here are sneaky b*stards hiding in unmarked vans and behind bushes).Originally posted by koztek55 View Posthmm long weekend in vic, considering raising the coilovers, but cbf, out my way the popo are like a rash, every corner you turn they are there. why cant we just drive in peace! we wont harm anybody for having our cars low...
