  • What a difference!

I have just got my GTI back from JimmyMack (ALBA European, Brisbane) who fitted new gear linkage bushes and aligned it all properly. What a differance to the driving pleasure. I can now confidently select 1st gear and know for sure that I will go forwards when I lift the clutch!

Thank Jimmy for a great job!

Naw, it takes away the fun of trying to take off quick from the lights.

Pain trying to do a quick change from 1st to 2nd though.

did he also fit the mk3 weighted shift rod? that thing makes a nice big chunk difference in the smoothness of shifting.

what can we say? jmac knows his dubs

He sure does. He also mentioned to me that there are a lot a repairers out there who don't know dubs and they cause more problems than they fix!
