I didn't know the mk2 didn't have airbags..that's quite a surprise to me.

Yea mate didn't even get a serve from the parents, and they are nazi's when it comes to behaving on the roads. Mum was just sad for me because I loved the car so much. Dad now keeps saying I'll have to get another project car to spend all my spare time on.

That's good to hear I'm glad they understood. I bet you half our parents wouldn't! Consider yourself lucky, in that respect anyway hehe.

yeah cant beat the luxuries of a modern car. would be worth seeing what your mk2 makes at auction, cant imagine it would be much at all, if so strip it for parts, might be a quick way to recover some of your excess

The car was fantastic, one of the tidiest Mk2's i've ever seen. No need to keep reattaching the exhaust either

But the fact that we saw you walking was the best relief ever...
