I reckon a vacuum leak. If not the bleed screw, maybe one of the rubber joints in the system is expanding when hot and creating a leak.
It could well be the idle screw though, I had one fall out once and it ran with a mad sucking noise, but would obviously never idle.sigpic Camden GTI Performance. VW / AUDI Specialists

Idle screw is a classic , man spray around when its playing up and watch and listen for the rev change and you have the spotAlba European
