  • Wheel colour ?

OK I am going to refurb my wheels for a short term fix, while i procrastinate about wheels.

MY alloys look tired, see my avatar.

My ride is a darkish blue.

What would you do to the rims.

Suggestions are, some are bad ones.

Silver , alloy colour (Never looks like alloy in my opinion)

    White.

    Gold.

    Black.

I know it isn't ideal but they are doing my head in so need some suggestions.

No point re-machining they have been curbed more times than my wifes car

It's personal taste really, but for me Dont do them gold!

I don't mind the look of white wheels, although cleaning may become an issue, black is the univeral favourite.

Still, my vote will be for white

If it has an engine or heartbeat it's going to cost you.

i like bright silver wheels. always have, always will..
        white could look alright,
black would loose the detail in the wheel.. which mightn't be a bad thing, in some cases..?

if you are going to go white.....don't do the whole wheel in white as they will look like sh*tty little cheap CSA rims. for the white to work you need to do the lip in the same colour as your car - white wheel/dark blue lip FTW! now that would be unique and would look awesome. but to keep them looking good you'll need to clean them often. a wheel wash with an old sponge and a hose every week would do the trick.

if you don't want the majority of the wheel in white, swap the colours and have the wheels the same colour as your car with the lip in white. either would look great.

i don't think black wheels on a dark blue car looks any good ( no offence jasn78 ). to me, it just makes the car always look dirty, theres no light to it.

Do you have a close up picture of the actual wheels in question? And perhaps another with a side and or quarter panel profile?

Sounds sweet but like too much hard work. Appreciate yoru comments.

I like the look of white, but may look crap.

Balck would not look as good on blue, but I won't even have to mask them up and they should hide the grime.
