    • So guys the car is finally getting closer and i only have a page worth of stuff to do

I have a scrapping noise in the front...its very noticeable. Its a low sounding noise from the front right i think. The noise and gets louder the faster you go.
      any thoughts?

      Cheers

      • Wheel bearing.

        Brakes

        CV.

        Diff carrier bearings.

In about that order. (Without hearing it myself.)

ok could the box be making this noise if it has no oil in it?

its not a clicking noise and doesn't get worse when i turn so I doubt its a cv.

Please tell me you're not driving this with no oil in the box

well i put oil in it before i put it in the car...but then a lot of oil went on the ground so i suspect there is no oil...but i need to borrow that special spanner from dean and get the oil pump. i shall take her down to volkspower and stick it up on a hoist and check the box oil.

Try a Shentai 12v impact gun.

I have one, have used it to remove my Jackaroo diff pinion nut, and manifold nuts. Removed both with ease.
