i had to go help the guys out...they killed my car. foudn the problem the constant coil wire had melted completely at the fuse box end... so i'm wondering what is going on...i fixed it and the wire wasn't getting hot but there will still be a problem with it.

any ideas?
They may have left the ignition on or shorted one of the hot wires off the coil.
Be careful, I'm told that the wire from the coil to the fuse box is resistive (If your car was originally a petrol car), hence the need for a "use with resistor" coil. Or you might have the wrong coil in there to start with.
oh and i forgot i broke my duck bill within the first 15mins of ever driving my car
DAMN IT!
Drill some extra holes and mount it a bit further up. Still looks cool, but wont smash on everything.

ohhh really...the coil that was originally in the car had a lil condensor on the neg side...but i thought that was just for the radio. so i used the coil out of my old car. i suspect they did leave the ignition on.
was fine when it was running...wire didn't get hot at all.

Yeah that condensor is just for radio noises, not required usually.(Unless you really like listening to AM radio !)
