              unless i can get someone help to paint my car i think it will be going to vic roads in sept in grey primmer

              i just got another job...means i will be working 9am-1pm sat and sunday...but i need the extra cash.

              so the only days i can work on my car are mondays 4 til dark, tuesday arvos from 1:45 til dark, wed neggg have work after schoolio, thursday negg have work after schoolio, fri 1:45 til dark, sat 2 til dark and sun 2 til dark...i only have 6 weeks to get it done before i get my licence...do you think i can do it?

                It'd be tough mate. It is possible, but you will get tired after a while.

                I reckon do the engine bay, and everything else, interior etc, get it running and going and reg'd, and paint all the tricky bits while the car's in pieces, and then when you get more time paint a panel at a time if you have too. Not ideal, but if you're low on time, it'll have to do..

                I'll be able to help out sat and some sunday arvos'. Really, IMHO, paint is a small thing. yea I know, everyone can see it, the car will look crap with out it etc etc, but really, you'll have that much fun driving around in it, you wont car that it's got odd panels and stuff. Drive the b*sterd before you make it look tooo pretty

                  ohh but dont drive around in primer though mate, it hold moisture and your car will rust so at least get 1 coat on of real paint!

                    thanks guys your awesome yeh i will just jam it and finish the engine bay and get it in

                    i know primmer hold moisture but it will have to be the paint i have you can't just put one coat...its clear over base. its gunna get rubbed back any way..it will look like a ratter

                    • hey man - if you want to save a buck on getting in the windscreen, its easy to do yourself. all you need is a bit of nylon chord....

                        And a riggers glove, and someone to give you a hand. One of you will need to not have carpal tunnel, so that you can slap the windscreen in as you go around.

                              • After seeing the windscreen guy do mine, it realy is easy as pie, about as easy as it is to do the rear 3/4 windows on a 2 door
