Wheel/tyre thread

I am wondering if it would be helpful to have a wheel/tyre thread for MK1s.

We have one in the MK4 section and I know it has been very helpful to lots of people...see http://www.vwwatercooled.com/forums/...l-q-76233.html

Thought it may be easier to direct people to the one thread instead of answering the same question from time to time. And its also a quick and easy way to check fitment of certain sizes etc for those who aren't too sure

Let me know your thoughts...

(I did a check to see if there were any similar threads but none seemed to come up)

Here's my tyre size chart. The ones in green are the usual sizes used to maintain original diameter but other sizes can be used. Stay away from 17" wheels. They look crap on MK1's and really stuff up your suspension - way too stiff.

It dates back to the beginning of the forum when it was mostly MK1 owners on here, which is why it's not labelled as MK1 specific.
