For $600 you should be able to get some pretty decent 15" wheels and tyres. Cheap 14s are only $100 and most times people are giving them away.

      *update*

So i should get back to posting on this Thread

For a few weeks the poor girl hasn't moved.
Engine still running like a beaut, drives like it should with so problems.

      (photos will be uploaded laters)
Had my close mate come over and did some ****.
      1. straight pipe off the headers (making the 1.6 8v sound like a diesel)
      2. stripped the f ucker ( Seats, carpet, headliner, door cards ) the whole lot

found bad rust in drivers side floor pan
discovered rust in the rain tray to the firewall not bad but annoying
      so she likes to leak.

i got my hands on a 2.0L from a mk3 from one of my close mate
got my hands on some chrome handles from Elton ( cheers again )
      hopefully buying some 13inch wheels soon. ( f ucker won't reply )
got my hands on some good condition front and rear seats from my mates mk1 happy days
update for the build now is
      Stance/baller ( lol )
      Comfortable weekender/show car
      nothing to special

if anyone can give me info on where i can get good quality seals, carpet and headliner but not too expensive

      cheers guys

                    *update*

so i haven't done much at all.
so Rust is going to be repaired by my mate this week if he can come pick it up.
the rust in floor, both a pillars and rain tray to be fixed and he'll go around the whole car and find any other rust he can fix.
also getting my front chrome bar re chromed as its bubbling and rotting

I need a new boss kit or il re-drill it as the steering wheel which is supposed to fit doesn't
                    ( F ucking Autotechinca )

I'm going to jump on some new carpet TST Carpet Manufacturers from these blokes, thanks to Dubstein for showing me.

                    still looking for headliner
if someone can point me in the right direction of where i can find one or even do a diy job
                    because i cant find anything

i resprayed my stock wheels back to black and polished up my chrome centres a bit just so it looks decent until i jump on some new wheels.
on the look for Ronal Turbos, Zender Turbos, or some SSR mesh or any other oldskool mesh type wheels.

im gonna buy my JOM's soon after rust is fixed.

Engine wise, iv got the 1.6l 8v still in it, running strong, but thanks to nick for hooking me up with the 2.0L from a mk3 with a 5 speed tranny. need a distributor, fuel pump, ecu and loom.
and over time do a Turbo setup on it.
will need to pull out my 1.6 around june/july and start shaving the bay, and prepping it all for the 2.0L swap.

i did have the idea to swap a vr6 but if i was to do it, wouldn't be for years !!

so after it comes back from rust repair, il be rocking primer for 6-12 months til i get it resprayed
keeping it brown, but with a more modern look with a metallic finish to it.
and having the bay a creamy colour so its got a bit of a hot chocolate feel lol

the interior will be virtually be stock, will just clean up the seats and door cards.
dash will need a few little fixes as the area around the aircon control has a small crack on the dash face, also will be re-wiring it all and cleaning it all up and getting new lights in and getting NOS Gauges. but over all is pretty great.

will hopefully find some roof racks for the surfboard and then wire up the stereo back in.

need to also fix up all the lighting and wiring for my headlights & rears because iv got a few issues with it
i will probably do the relay rewire to fix it up for the fronts and the rears is probably just faulty wires.

rego will be around august so iv got 6-7 months to get all that done !!!!

if anyone has an ideas or any tips/ let me know because il need all the help i can get

wow i forgot all about this thread..... i was only 15 when i made this wow, I'm 18 now !! time flies
so Update the car was stolen in feb of 2015 from a workshop only to be never seen again and the guy who stole it never found the shop couldn't help with paying me back so basically i went empty handed. it was a shame, looking back on this car and how i would Build it today is so different. but tbh i would love to buy another Running MK1 and build it once i finish with my daily Bora and put it into its final state.

this car will be truely missed and never forgotten if anyone ever sees a brown mk1 no rego no bars, stripped interior or know of any wrecking 4door brown mk1's with a 1.6l in it call or text me would be rad ( 0413856133 ) , had someone only a few weeks ago think they saw it on the back of tow truck heading south NSW so could be anywhere or chopped up for scrap metal

I've got jumpers older than you.

Sorry to hear it was stolen. Hope you find another one.
