    hey guys,

Thought i would get on here with my build of my mk1 golf.

so it all started when i bent a valve on mk 16v kr k-jet setup and this new engine came up for sale.

so i have now installed a 20vt into my 1976 mk1 golf, i have gotten the engine into the car and just need a few more items to complete the install.

ive also taken the opportunity to rewire the car and remove the mk1 fuse box. relays have moved since this picture.

yeah shouldn't be an issue car should be running in a 2 - 3 weeks.
i order the qpeng loom and ecu today as the one i got with the 20vt was dead. just have to get my custom clutch cable sent off to be made up..

then im onto intercooler and water plumbing, drive shafts and gear selector install..

You've only mentioned the engine, what else has been done to the car?

Keep us posted with the rebuild.

          Cheers

so from a car point of view,

i have koni adjustable all round. aftermarket sway bars. 2 1/2 inch exhaust system. i will hopefully be fitting an audi TT dash. need the bottom section and center console for this to work.

still on the lookout for new gauges and speedo.

engine wise, just fixed my custom clutch cable. i have completed the hydro to cable conversion.

Waiting on my short shift plate.
