  • mk1.5 build thread

    hey guys

recently picked up a mk1 GLD for a reasonable price of $550, the car is pretty much worth what the coilovers are worth in it. couple of rust patches, mainly on the left front guard and some minor rust in the boot lining. plans to get a mk2 1.8 petrol engine of my mate as the diesel head is blown and has been using a mix of coolant, water and oil to lubricate the thing.

But no really, I like to look distinguished when I step out of the car. People are like, "wonder what he does for living."
I just reply, "your daughter, sir." - some dude on stanceworks

I had fixed half the broken crap but that just meant it was still halfway inoperable

Why not run a later model 1.9T diesel motor in that... She will be sweet running with that... Then just upgrade the internals and turbo and you'll have a crazy Mk1...
