    get your welder out boy.

have you also thought about these expenses:..?

    -Engineering the engine.
-Upgrade of brakes, including bigger diameter rims to fit large brakes.
-Upgrade of suspension and body stiffness ( ie, strut brace's etc)
    -aftermarket/stand alone ECU..?

Although I will admit $1500 is good for a VR6 with kit. hopefully you won't have to rebuild it!

and not to mention the engineering that'll have to go into the rails and mount and etc.

having said all that. anytime you need a hand, call me!!! or even if you don't need a hand. still call. I'll even do bodywork!

Its a very hard job. You need to fabricate a subframe for the huuge weight of the VR6 and reinforce the chassis to the mac.

Look up Jim Cotton and his Mk1 VR6 on the internet. he made the first one and is a professional. took him plenty of time too.

haha its really not hard...the water pipes i ran down either side of the channel...the motor bolts straight on to the gear box and a 12a is only a tiny bit heavier so i didn't need any braces or anything. ran all the wires and she ran...fitting a 13b would b a lil harder as the motor is a tiny bit bigger and a bit heavier....need to make a small subrame.

there is a place in dandenong that makes the conversion plate for the gear boxes.

it was run when it was a 1.6.. as you can see the head and block have the usual fouling in the waterways... but since it was tricked up i havent had the chance to put it in a car cos I fell in love with diesel engines
