What you're building is very ambitious (and time consuming). Why not just put the 1.8t into the golf and keep it FWD instead of going all out to build AWD. The next one can be AWD.
Tueasday/wednesday week I will be ordering my engine mounts for the 1.8T engine to fit into the golf.
Does anybody know where I can get reinforced or better than standard rubbers in Aus to fit into the mounts? Because the reinforced rubbers from the same guys costs just as much as the mounts I am buying.
Well, when I order the mounts I'd like to order inserts as well that way i can get them pressed in and get it done and ready for when the golf comes to my house.
Want to charge me the same amount of mula for the inserts as the mounts itself and a different website has the same ones for half the price including postage...
Can anyone tell me what welder I would need to be able to do body welds etc. I believe a MIG Welder is the way to go if I want to start welding body and chassis mounts etc.
