Well...new tyre turned up so should be drive able again soonI hope they dont come back too!
I had a brand new radiator and a brand new clutch sitting in the car. The hatch was not shut properly either so they must've opened that sometime too. Funny they didnt take my clutch and radiator...

Exhaust is now on!! Sounds pretty good. It is quiet when there is no acceleration but makes a nice sound under a bit of acceleration.
Weber is now on too! Love it. Makes such a difference! Have only driven it a couple of times round town...yet to take it for a decent drive.

Yes replacement exhaust. 2" resonated system. I am on holidays until jan 6th if you want to see/hear it. Just pm me when you're free.
Unfortunately the exhaust sits a lot lower than the std one and I got defected for it last night. As well as a headlight out. They were nice to me and gave me 30 days to fix it and no fine. And I am allowed to drive it in that 30 days.
Time for some bigger wheels so it doesn't have to sit so low to fill out the guards.

Well...a few updates on the mk1.
It died on Saturday when I was driving. Lost all acceleration. Got towed home to find that the fuel filter was empty. Thought we were out of fuel but it was showing half full. Filled it up and petrol spilt out of the fuel hose leading to the carby. The fuel hose had decided that the alternator was a good place to lean on and the alternator fan had worn a hole in it. Got a clip off my other engine to hold the new fuel hose in the right place. Went fine again
Yesterday, the oil light came on and made the low/no oil ticking noise. I topped it up and it still did it. Drained the oil and put new stuff in and it still did it. This morning we pulled the sump off and checked the filter. Full of silicone from when they obviously rebuilt the engine - cleaned that up, put oil in and started it. Same thingWondering if the pump has something in it. Going to check that and see how we go...!

So nice !
IMO it's very unique and ultra rare wheel. We see too many BBS
I wouldn't sell it if I didn't find the Borbet A.
