Transport tas will suspend my rego unless I can get a inspection report to them within 14 days proving that my car is in a roadworthy condition. Should be able to do that
Last week picked up a 2" exhaust and extractors. Also picked up a weber 32/36 DGAV and manifold to suit 8v.
looks like its turning into both mine and frenchy's mk1s...
we're both on coils, have extractors and a full 2" system and a 32/36 weber DGAV (without the choke)
....but i have a 1.8 and he has a 1.6 - which for the record both sound VERY different, but that might have something to do with the 4-2-1 VS 4-1 extractors as well as exhaust variations etc
enjoy and let us know how it goes! pick my baby up tomorrow after having the carb completely rejetted and tuned! CANNOT wait!!!!
I'm not copying I promise!! I just cant help myself sometimes! Yeah cant wait to get them both on - getting rid of some surface rust on exhaust and extractors then they should be ready to go on. Interested to see how your carb goes!
Also found out on the weekend that the engine in this golf was professionally rebuilt about 65-70000ks ago.
Clutch is also starting to slip - bought a new one this morning.
Bought the golf a brand new radiator yesterday! The old one is pretty much had it - only has chemiweld holding it together! Will get that in hopefully next week sometime.
Also attacked it with some cut and polish. Been meaning to do this for a while and finally got around to it! Sorry about the phone pics and its getting darkish outside.
Bad news...drivers side tyre got slashed last night. The valve stem was slashed so took it to get replaced. Replaced it and there was a small cut in the tyre too Brand new tyres havent even done 500k's. Hopefully another tyre will turn up tomorrow (providing they sent it overnight).
