  • Will these wheels fit?

I'm looking at a pair of wheels for my car, they are 15 x 7, which should fit, but have an offset of -20 mm, will these fit on my car or will i need small spacers or massive spacers?? can any one help me with this??

    thanks in advance,
    Jarred

Are they the BMW wheels on eBay? I believe their ET20 not ET-20.
      Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
      Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

Yea I was really confused, cause he says offset negative - 20, so like um what? I realise that there is a big difference there, I'm geussing that there are most likely ET 20 not -20, but I can't be sure. Yes they are the ebay ones.

If they are ET20 will they fit, I have a feeling that I would have to do some MAJOR arch work to get them under??

I have ET20 15x7s with 195/50s and they don't rub.. The GTI wheel arch trims do but you can trim them back.

Take the arch trims off and lower it and see what happens I'm interested to see some pics, as yours is the first Mk1 in the world that won't rub with this setup and no arch work

et20 with 195/50/15 s will rub when cornering (I used to have Zender turbo's, same et 20 15x7) unless your car has a really high ride height?. Need to go 195/45 and at least do a little trimming/rolling. I think et 20 makes for a good stance.

Just scored some rims off a mate, 14x6, measured the offset which is 25. How will they go fitment wise?

should be alrite...depends how low you go. You may need to flare the arches and/or roll the lips - more for peace of mind than anything else. also depends on tyre profile.

and and um, are they the globes?

I'm WRONG. I forgot that my wheel arch lips are folded back to allow for the big tires!

                        Valver is right.

I've got another question regarding wheel fitment. I'm thinking of buy a set of 15 x 7's with ET13 that are available on e-bay. I wont be lowering the car too much (Mk1 Golf), most likely similar in height to the pics below (again, pics from the rat rod thread). Any idea if the wheels will stick out similar???
