Good to see your getting some progress done on all of your project's Loon.

Your spreading yourself all over them.

It's a shame & very disheartening to see floorpan's like that, but it is an old car & somewhat expected sometime's.

I'm pretty sure you'll dive in "grinder first" I hope.

I've noticed this alot on some of mk'1 I've had & scrapped

I've found that where the rear brake hard line's go into the cabin, the seal's are shot & leak.
The water run's down the line's & gets absorbed by the sound deadening which doesn't really dry out at all & become's saturated & spead's all over the floorpan.

76's had this problem as well as very poor seam sealer along the wheel tub to firewall causing rust & leak's.

These should also be on the "to look for" & repair's list.

I reckon that's why the last of the Mk1's went to external rear brake line's.
They also had different floor pan's too I found out!

Caddys rust, being a Mk1 bucket that fills up with water.
The tray has been extensively repaired, and the back half of the cabin is sound. I reckon it has been sitting with the footwells full of water and just eaten its way out.

bugger, but oh well. get some new ones shipped from OS if you have too, or just bust out the welder and fix 'er up. no other way round it.

good to see some progress though.

Havent updated this for a while.
Ended up getting new sections of floor welded in. Shes strong and sound now.
Changed the guards for early ones with no side repeaters and had some time yesterday to bolt the bumper on. Also put in some crystal lights and a random rubber spoiler that I had lying aound. This uses the factory holes and I reckon it looks ok.
            Needs a clean now.
The 2L EFI engine is in and running, still plenty to do inside.

Great to see Loon. I have one on the way to Tassie at the moment. Sposed to be very good in the rear. Its a 5 speed diesel.
They are in vogue at the moment and pretty to hard to find in the US.
Keep up the good work mate and lower it asap!!!!!

Looking good but what the hell is going on with the front drivers side wheel? You running a bit of positive camber there!

Build one that's good enough to go in the mag then.

                          Haha, only kidding.

Car's looking good dude. Just need to remove 3/4s of the ground clearance now.
