Still needs a Polish...and I need to roll the guards for Moar low...
The ride from the KW v1's is excellent, the car is a totally different drive already.
I must thank Lewis (LWR) for the rims and his service, along with Josh for the last minute phone advice
Next up will be and ignition/dizzy/coil/plug/lead upgrade along with a Carter electric fuel pump so I can look at a Carb upgrade...so far I have been offered a 28/36 DCD Weber or a single 40mm side draught dellorto/lynx manifold set-up...thoughts/opinions/advice?
I'll attempt to get the steering wheel swapped and the new seat in over the next couple of days and set about cleaning up the interior.
Thanks again for all the positive comments
Pete.
Shoulda mentioned Pete, I've got a guard roller and heat gun and stuff and can roll em for you if you want. just give us a buzz. This this is looking bad ass!!
Looks great. Actually a crappy/cool/rat type look would work awesome with those wheels. Park that sucker out in the summer sun (when it arrives) and get that paint to fade, haha.

Yeah...previous owners pretty much took care of that already Two Tone anyone?
The clear coat (or lack of it) is worse than I had initially thought...Yellow 'Matte' FTW
I'm not too fussed...It's a daily.
...Still needs heaps more work polishing, but It's getting there.
Momo wheel is on and it's a much more familiar feel, I also test fitted the Bride seat I got from George...it is definitely NOT for daily use, but I plan to hit Marulan every now and then when the car is sorted, so not a complete loss. The strut top extenders I bought are surplus to requirements, so If anyone is planning something super-low, I'd let them go for cheap cheap
I should have an exhaust sorted in the next couple of weeks, then I'll do the carb/ignition upgrade/tune and just enjoy the simplicity...
Pete.
Cheers...I actually liked that piece better Danger Mouse FTW!
Josh came round with his guard roller on Thursday night, so I'm now another 10mm lower front and 15mm lower rear
This is about as low as I can go for sensible daily duties, but It has made a big difference visually...pics tomorrow.
I'd been questioning how the car has been running since I've owned it...it really struggled to rev past about 3.5k, but I hadn't been too concerned as It was still keeping with traffic no problems. I decided to see what was going on and it turns out the throttle cable was adjusted like a hire go kart...I was only getting about 2/3 throttle! Needless to say, It's like driving a completely different car now. Happy days
Pete.
