this is my golf. apart from the rust i love it! ( ive had geminis before with lots of rust )
I had been searching for a mk1 for about 6 months now. seen a few on ebay but were pretty expensive. I found this one on someones property in the bush. went in, said hello and i got it for free!
please excuse my poor grammar and spelling as well.
The plans as the usual spec Mk1 golf slammed on BBS with some a nice as engine bay.
i am new to the whole euro tuning stuff so i dont know too much just yet. i have a ke30 Sr20 project as well.

            Great find mate!

Great to see another mk1 getting some love (especially a diesel!) Theres not many silver mk1s left for obvious reasons so it would be amazing to see one come back to life!

Check out the diesels section aswell for more engine related stuff

Haha another young guy with a mk1 !! I dont feel alone any more haha. I remember getting my golf at 15 and being a bit clueless

But if you keep taking things apart/putting them back on, you'll get to know every bit of the golf and know what goes where, and what does what. Rust at first might look easy to get rid of, but a second glance can be very hard and daunting. Good luck mate !

my advice now I have seen pics is either get her running on the diesel and this then buys you time to build up something else, or, be patient and build a cracker.

Pleasure mate, I reckon you have given yourself the best possible chance of pulling off a great build with what you have picked up.
