    So that we can have an interstate contest.
    Post it to me for a week and I will organise the Sydney guys and we'll have a go. If we fail, we then post it to Hobart etc.

        Heat! apply heat, if you don't have oxy/acet. Then carefully use boiling water slowly pouring it close as possible to head.

        Just make sure no water can get into head or opening of inlet manifold.

        Tap it again.

          If there are no more bolts. Bit of wood and belt the **** out of it.

          Be prepared to have egg on your face if you bend the bolt that wasnt in there

            There must be a bolt there somewhere otherwise it would fall off.End of story.
            Would you like a workshop manual for one of these ,it sounds like you haven't gotone and they do come in handy.

              look ive triple checked every last bolt and ill do it again!!! ive already got a workshop manual the haynes one but i dont think it covers inlet manifolds...

                I TRIPLE CHECKED FOUND 2 MORE BOLTS TOOK THEM OFF AND THE MANIFOLD CAME OFF!!!!!!
                and i put the dellortoes on lightly...

                it was worth the blood and the sweat, now to hook it up and start it up :twisted:

                                not to upset but first job ever done on german engine was the intake manifold gasket, all done in drive way in 1hr with no manual
