What's a Mk1 Diesel worth?

What would you expect to pay for a one owner 110000km Golf Mk1
diesel in good condition all round apart from minor rust in the usual
places?

I have a MK1 GLD for sale at the moment, numerous owners, virtually NIL rust, 5 speed transmission... Pretty much perfect condition except for the fron passenger side quarter.

I want to get $2,000 for that, although it's currently on offer to forum members for $1,900.

Sorry but there's no link to pics available.

Body is not in as good condition as yours from what I can tell
from the pics, has minor rust appearing around the windscreen
and rear glass area and also appearing around the rear wheel
arch though this is a bit more severe.

Interior is excellent apart from 2 or 3 cracks in the dash.

Mechanically seems quite strong as you would expect from a
110000km car.

P.S.I'd love to check yours out but I'm not in NSW unfortunately

Hey mate,

Anywhere from $1000-1600 I'd say, with little or no rego. Less for more mechanical problems, up to $2000 with significant rego. check all the electrics - i mean everyhting - if it looks OK, and it all or mostly works properly, should be good.
