my mk1 has cut king springs. problems are it stuffs up your spring rate and your springs wont remain captive...(unless u drill a few hols around the top and base and cable tie the springs in place...looks good lifting a wheel for 3 wheel motion coming out of bottle shops) dodgeyyy!!!

ive generaly found take more out of the back than the front if you want it to sit level. 2and a half rear, 1 and a half front for kings is how mine sits....

i wouldn't suggest going any more...bumpstops will bounce u off the road mid corner =(
my car is already that low... i want lower............

ive worked it out.. the front is gonna be dropped 40mm and the back is gonna be dropped 45mm... witch will make the car straight and low..

      then some spacers......... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm spaceyy

gota watch springs don't fall out
on big bumps with standard length shocks
        so don't go to hard
and yes there is no such thing as a too wide tyre
was looking at getting 225's mmmm!

I know of a VLT that had the spring come out of the back at 120kmh.

If u stack it, its guna be your fault even if it isnt (if that makes scence)

          Lets see pics

ok fellas the time has come....

dropped 80mm off front and back

lowest point of the car is 55mm off the ground, and yes it is slightly bumpier.. but no biggie.. handles awesome though due to having lowerd shocks and springs beforehand
doesnt rub anywhere doesnt scrape over speedhumps!!!

now i need some 40mm spacers all round to pump the wheels out and then polish the rims

            what you all think?

Mate be careful.... I spose evryone does it... To stop springs falling out you can short stroke the shock absorber... This invloves a nylon bush...

P.S Wabit i want before and after photos from a side on veiw...

                    James

p.s got to get that front guard painted and you bunny will be nice and clean and white again...

                      Ya mad bugger Dom.

Now looking after the sump become's priority No 1

                      I like it though.

I see you got rid of the big dangle berry hanging off the back. Look's heaps cleaner.

Yes - watch those speed humps Wabbit

Of course you realise that aftermarket sprins with that ride height are somewhat stiffer...
There's a reason for that- so's you don't drive your sump into the aforementioned speed humps

I can't talk about loose springs of course

yes 100mm is the legal limit.. it was that inbetween 1pm and 3pm...

then my other mates came past and brainwashed me to slam it for all its got..

then from 6pm to about 10:30.. she turned out like the photo..... lol
