Don't cordobas have the pump inside the tank?

There isnt alot of space to mount the pumps. Where i mounted it seemed to be the best place without being in the way of everything. You just have to make sure the fuel lines from the tank follow the chassie rail and dont go over the axle. Even where i put it it was a bit tricky.

    • Just thought id give an update on whats going on with the Mk1.
The diff **** its self a few weeks ago and smashed both inner CV joins. I just replaced a drive shaft and wheel bearing 4 days earlier.
Ive started the process of pulling the gearbox out but I havnt had time to finish it. Its gunna be on hold for a couple more week because I wont have the time or money to fix it.

The good news is is that i have bought a reliable daily box, a VT Dunnydore gen3, which means that i can put the mk1 on club rego and treat it properly. No rushing or short cuts and it can stay undercover aswell

      • got any pics of how you ran the lines to Pump?
I ran rubber hoses and zip tied them to under car, they pass over the axle though, havnt had any problems and it clears fine when suspension compresses.
Think i may redo it and put solid lines instead.

Just double checked, its not over the axle, its as close to the outside of car as possible. Might go hard lines still though, and clamp them down

        • Couldnt you run normal hard lines and if your mounting it as Dado has, you only run rubber fuel hose for a small interval from the pump to the lines? say 100mm or so?

          • Ive just used rubber lines from tank to pump then to line..
I didnt have access to some hard line at the time i did it. Hence why i wouldnt mind redoing it with hard line.
Think i may redo all the lines from back to front. All mine use 1/4 hose, where as the pump runs 3/8th. Im thinking its restricting a fair bit going from 3/8th to 1/4.

            • It wouldnt make a difference. It would just be neater. I would prefer rubber lines as its hella close to the axle and its a lot easier to work with espcialy if you have the fuel filter there.

                    Awesome, will remove mine asap
Think all my fuel is going back into tank instead of in carb
